Ice Rinks Now Open!
Bring out your skates! Haul out your hockey equipment! It’s time to enjoy the best of winter!
The central ice rink and the skating oval at the WHMCA community hall are now open! Not only that, the Adopt-A-Rink in the park on Marsden Road is open also! Both rinks are available for free skating any time of day. Hockey can also be played on the central ice rink at the community hall. Both rinks will be lit for use in the evenings until 10:30 pm.

The central ice rink at the community hall has been reserved for the following activities each week starting in January:
Mondays – 6 – 9 pm Brownies
Tuesdays – 6 – 9 pm Grassroots Hockey
Fridays – 3 – 6 pm Girls Ringette
Saturdays – 1 – 3 pm Free Skate For All (non-hockey)
The oval will still be open for skating at these times.
Please be aware that the rinks will be closed on occasion to permit flooding of the ice, and also to clear snow. When necessary, parts of the rinks may be roped off with orange pylons if there are problems with the ice.
Many thanks are due to Stacy Nephin and his team for getting the community hall rinks up and running this year. Thanks also to Craig Baskett for setting up and maintaining the Marsden Road Adopt-A-Rink. We will post a full list of people to thank shortly.
