For 75 years, the Winston Heights-Mountview Community Association has helped build and support a vibrant, connected neighbourhood.

Community members have helped keep the relationship between neighbours strong through volunteering, participating in events, supporting initiatives, and helping maintain the spaces that make Winston Heights-Mountview special.

Why Membership Matters

WHMCA is a not-for-profit organization and does not receive operating funds from the government. Each year, funds are raised through memberships, donations, grants, and hall rentals to support community events, programs, infrastructure, and other local initiatives.

The association is led by a dedicated board of directors elected from the WHMCA membership at each Annual General Meeting. The board works to cultivate a community that is inclusive, welcoming, and attractive to both new residents and long-time neighbours.

Community improvements such as new playgrounds and new rinks
The Community Garden and Centennial Garden
Maintenance of the popular outdoor rink
Management of our halls and boardroom for community use
Donated hall rentals for Girl Guides and other community-impacting groups
Free and affordable programs such as Playgroup, Elder Book Club, and Nose Creek Concerts

Annual Membership Cost

$20 per year

Memberships are available for individuals or families. Business memberships are coming soon.

How to Join or Renew

Memberships are managed through an online community management system called Communal. Through Communal, you can renew your membership, register for events, purchase tickets, and volunteer for upcoming programs.

As of January 1, 2025, all memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase. We encourage members to sign up for auto-renewal.

You can also make a one-time or renewable donation to further support the association.
