🎲 Adult Nerd Night Returns!
Our very first Adult Nerd Night exceeded all expectations, bringing together an amazing community of gamers from across Calgary. Now we’re taking the next step.
Our next Adult Nerd Night is scheduled for Friday, August 7, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and this time we’re dedicating the evening to Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs)!
Whether you’ve never rolled a die before or have shelves full of rulebooks, there’s a seat waiting for you.
⚔️ More Than Just Dungeons & Dragons
While Dungeons & Dragons will certainly be represented, tabletop RPGs are much bigger than one game.
Depending on the volunteer Game Masters who sign up, adventures may include systems such as:
- 🐉 Dungeons & Dragons
- 🛡️ Pathfinder
- 🕯️ Shadowdark
- 👁️ Call of Cthulhu
- 🐲 Dragonbane
- 🚀 Mothership
- 🤖 Cyberpunk RED
- 🌌 …and many others!
Every table offers a different style of adventure, from heroic fantasy and dungeon crawls to mystery, horror, science fiction, exploration, and storytelling.

Rather than everyone playing the same game, Adult Nerd Night will feature multiple RPG tables running at the same time.
Each Game Master will host their own adventure with its own:
- Game system
- Theme and setting
- Recommended experience level
- Maximum number of players
- One-shot or campaign
- Beginner-friendly information
When registration opens, you’ll simply choose the table that sounds most exciting.

Never played a tabletop RPG before?
That’s completely okay.
Many of our Game Masters love introducing new players to the hobby, and we’ll clearly identify tables that are perfect for beginners.
No experience.
No dice.
No rulebooks.
Just bring your imagination.
A roleplay-heavy science-fiction adventure for ages 16+. Some RPG experience is recommended. Players should bring a phone, tablet, or laptop with internet access.
A beginner-friendly fantasy mystery for ages 18+. Bring a pencil, dice, and a device that can access your email. Players may also bring their own Level 1 character using the core rules.
A beginner-friendly fantasy adventure for ages 16+, featuring exploration, roleplay, puzzles, and tactical combat. Bring your character sheet if possible and your favourite dice, although dice will also be available.
A rules-light, ooze-heavy science-fiction horror-comedy for ages 13+. All dice and character sheets will be provided, so players only need to show up.
A post-apocalyptic survival adventure for ages 18+. Some RPG experience is recommended. Bring a pencil and eraser; dice and pre-generated characters will be provided. Experienced GURPS players may bring a suitable GURPS Fourth Edition character.
A deadly fantasy mystery for ages 18+. Help a troubled town investigate why its actors are mysteriously disappearing. Expect heavy roleplay, tactical combat, exploration, investigation, horror, puzzles, and plenty of opportunities for every character to take the spotlight. Characters, dice, miniatures, maps, and rulebooks will be provided. Players only need to bring a fun attitude and be prepared for the possibility of character death.
