Our community chicken project has officially been approved to start with 12 hens as part of the pilot program. These chickens will live in the community coop and be cared for by volunteers through the Winston Heights–Mountview Community Association.

This page will become the home for each hen’s biography, where you can learn about their personality, habits, and the role they play in our small community flock.

Community members also have the opportunity to help name the chickens. Anyone who donates $100 or more to support the project can suggest a name in the comment section of their donation. Once the hens arrive, selected names will be assigned to the flock and each chicken’s profile will appear here.

As the coop opens and the hens settle in, this page will grow into a living record of the flock and the community members who helped bring it to life.
