This easygoing group meets on the 3^rd Tuesday of each month from 7-9 pm at the Winston Heights-Mountview Community Centre Board Room. Bring a beverage of choice to enjoy with snacks provided by that month’s moderator. Escape your day-to-day with a great book and some lively banter! To join our group or for information on upcoming books, please e-mail Kendra at bookclub@winstonheights.ca. Do you have a book you’d like to suggest? Come out to book club and bring along your suggestions. We may decide as a group to read them in an upcoming month!

On Tuesday, May 17 our book club will be discussing Burial Right by Hannah Kent.

JUNE
On Tuesday, June 21 our book club will be discussing Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood.

JULY
On Tuesday, July 19 our book club will be discussing Imposter Bride by Nancy Richler.

AUGUST
On Tuesday, August 16 our book club will be discussing If I Fall, If I Die by Michael Christie.

You read that right! For the 2016/2017 membership year our resident membership is FREE!

Now the tricky part; to let every household in the community know! That’s where we need your help.

For the 2016/2017 Membership Campaign we want to go back to the traditional route of offering it to community members by going door-to-door. This may seem like a daunting task, but with a few volunteers we could have this completed fairly quickly!

The best part is that there is no selling involved because the residents membership is FREE! The form is very simple, keeping the information gathered to the basics and then just informing them of monthly events as well as our annual events (ie. AGM, Stampede Party etc.).

Sharpen up your skates! It’s time to enjoy our Calgary winter 2016!

The Marsden Road Adopt-A-Rink is now open!

Craig Baskett creates and maintains the Adopt-a-Rink at Marsden Road, so if you see him around the neighbourhood, please say thank you!

We need your thoughts!

During the 2014-2015 season we had a great event every Tuesday evening ‘Community Skate Night‘.  We would love to continue this event to through 2015-2016 season but to do so we will need your help!

We are looking for a couple of volunteers to come for the evening and help out. You can count on us to provide the ‘training’ to get the season started for you.  Opening date to be confirmed, watch here for details!
