Community Garden Annual Meeting
The Annual Garden Meeting is Wednesday, April 8th at 7:30pm in the North Hall of the Community Association. The evening will include a summary of the garden bed rental policies, a gardening workshop, and refreshments with your fellow community members.
Gardeners who wish to rent a bed should attend this meeting to learn more about Garden policies, pay the balance of their rental, and sign rental agreements. We will also sign up new renters at this time.
Community Garden Beds Available
With spring approaching, it is time to think of getting out in the fresh air and growing wholesome food alongside your neighbours. The WHM Community Garden has beds available to rent this year, at a cost of $50, though you may secure your rental with a deposit of $20 before April 8th.
If you would like to secure your rental for 2015, please drop off a cheque at the South Hall of the Community Association for $20, marked “Garden Bed Renewal Deposit”, along with your name and contact information. Norm, our tireless and indispensable hall caretaker, is in the hall from 10am to noon on weekdays if you would prefer to pay cash. Additionally, if you wish, you can send your $20 deposit as an Interac Email Money Transfer to caretaker@winstonheights.ca. Please be sure to include your name if you choose the latter, so we can be sure to assign the deposit to you.
Please email communitygarden@winstonheights.ca if you have any questions.
