Live in the CommUNITY: August – Tim Williams

July 17, 2024

TIM WILLIAMS
CANADIAN BLUES & ROOTS ARTIST – A producer/performer on four JUNO-nominated projects.
Tim Williams is a favourite local icon. His 36-year career and constant work in the Calgary music industry
is inspirational for so many. We are very excited to be able to share an afternoon with a local celebrity
who has been such a key builder of the music scene in Calgary and a huge part of developing live spaces
that we enjoy today. https://timwilliamsblues.ca/

PAUL PIGAT
Dave Donovan of Calgary House Concerts says that Paul Pigat is arguably the best guitar player in town –
and competitive in the national and international scenes as well. While he has a degree in classical music
and music theory, he has devoted himself to a different vibe. With his various ensembles, including
Cousin Harley and the Smoking Jackets, he has carved out a very respectable career creating great music
drawing from just about every genre of popular music – jazz, blues, rockabilly and more. Blessed with a
jazz man’s sheen, a rockabilly heart and a hobo’s soul, there aren’t many genres of music that don’t pull
at Pigat’s wayfaring imagination like a magnet. https//paulpigat.com/.

Community Clean Up

July 1, 2024

Community Cleanup events save residents a trip to the landfill for items that do not fit in their waste carts or residents who do not have access to cart service. We supply three packer trucks with crews, funds for advertising and promotion, face coverings, sanitizer, gloves, and garbage bags for the group of community volunteers. This service is free of charge to all Calgarians. All Community Cleanup events occur on Saturdays and Sundays throughout Calgary. Spring season will begin on the last weekend on April 27/28 and go through to June 29/30.

The Fall Session will start on September 7/8, and end on September 28/29.  Some Community Cleanup Events will be available over the summer with limited availability. Please check each Community’s website for more information regarding their specific event.
